Ottomon Bazaar
Karachi
Ottoman Mall is envisioned as a large-scale commercial and lifestyle destination that redefines retail as an immersive urban experience. Spanning 75 kanals in Karachi, the project is conceived as a masterplanned retail district rather than a conventional enclosed mall, offering visitors a richly layered environment of shopping, leisure, and public space.
The architectural language draws from Ottoman-era forms, expressed through grand gateways, fortified façades, towers, and arched colonnades that establish a strong sense of identity and arrival. Instead of a singular structure, the development unfolds as a network of walkable streets, courtyards, and plazas, encouraging exploration and prolonged engagement. Open-air promenades are framed by landscaped gardens and water features, creating a comfortable, human-scaled environment within a large commercial footprint.
Retail, dining, and leisure uses are carefully distributed across the site to activate the public realm throughout the day and into the evening. The integration of landscape and pedestrian-focused planning transforms the mall into a social destination, where shopping is complemented by gathering, strolling, and recreation.
Ottoman Mall positions itself as a landmark commercial destination for Karachi, a place-driven development that blends architecture, landscape, and commerce to create a memorable retail environment with long-term cultural and commercial value.
